Any safe bike under 450cc’s is allowed on track as long as it meets the tech requirements.
Sandy Hook Speedway has an excellent article about what to buy in order to race in the Stock 125 class here.
Riders must have a full face DOT/ECE helmet, full fingered gloves, and boots that go over the ankle. If a rider opts to use a dirtbike style helmet (must be DOT/ECE certified), they must also use googles. We highly recommend a 1 or 2 piece leather suit, but will allow racers to race with full motocross gear (chest/back, shoulders, elbows, knees). A back protector is not required, but is highly recommended.
If you don’t have a race suit – please reach out to use via social media. We have a number of suits available as loaners for new riders.

Everyone in the hot-pit area is required to purchase an insurance wristband for $15. There’s no additional fee.
On race days everyone on track must have a transponder. We use the MyLaps TR2 transponder for all timing. Transponders are available to rent for $15 on race days.
Team Safety Third photography provides the photos for free to all racers. Just use the password “ts3” to make them free. Tips are appreciated!
Race days cost $70 for your first class. Each additional class is $5. Everyone is required to have a transponder on race days – transponder rentals are $15.
